It's quieter and less busy that the "downtown" Gulf Shores madness.
There are few restaurants on that end, and it's a bit of a drive back to Gulf Shores.

We rented a house there about 10 years ago, and this was exactly what we experienced. Going out for dinner was a chore, so we just cooked at the house most nights. It was some gated neighborhood with a community pool. We spent most of the days on the beach. I think we took the kids to the pool once or twice. Obviously with a condo you'd have better access to a pool, but it is a much quieter relaxed part of the beach compared to Gulf Shores.

This is where we stay every time we go to gulf shores. I rent from the same lady each time who has a few condos there.
We like the fact that its a ways out, less people on the beach.

I used to but sold them. Baldona has a lot of information he has shared on the money board. I have offered a few comments there too. I am better at answering specific questions

good stuff. we like it over there. its quiet and we can still take our little guy into town for go karts, mini golf and that big restaurant bar w/ the foam parties and little hill for him to play on.

How does the water look over there? Is it Biloxi brown or something closer to blue?

If your place isn't on the beach, you will have to share one of the 50 ft. wide spaces called beach access with a hundred other rednecks. That's all they have as far as public beach. Just like Gulf Shores.

We have been staying in Morgantown the last few years. House is not on the beach and we have no problem finding somewhere to set up. Way less crowded than gulf shores

I managed construction on a few of the buildings and stayed there multiple times since.
Pros:
- It’s nice and well maintained
- Lots of amenities and activities
- Nice restaurant
- Very nice tennis courts
- Tiki bar by the pool
- More secluded than most condos
- Good fishing at the right times
- If you need more room and don’t like condos, the cottages are a nice alternative.
- 2 excellent golf courses are really close, and 2 more really nice ones are within 8-15 miles
- they have their own firework shows during 4th of July, and possibly new years(never stayed there then)
- clubhouse/spa/indoor pool/arcade/etc. is nice, but an added cost.
- jesses on the bay isn’t far.
Cons:
- It’s older than some of the newer condos, so some condo units might have older finishes like popcorn ceilings (over concrete) and laminate tops (less likely anymore).
- The beach is wide and beautiful, but you can see gas rigs when you’re that close to the bay. As a fisherman, this doesn’t bother me, but I’m sure some consider it unsightly
- more secluded = longer drive. It’s around half way to the fort.
- I’m not really a fan of the management company, but that is likely more of a personal issue. They are proactive, and keep the place attractive.
- Wide beach = longer walk across an attractive boardwalk. It’s probably not the best place for families with 1 Ton beach carts.

Family and I rented a house for 5 days on the Morgan side in October. Weather was perfect, we had a private pool as well. No one within 200 yards either way of us on the beach. Water was greenish/blue - could easily see the rigs. I would have liked clearer water and didn't prefer the riggs, but quiet and seclusion were big pluses for us. The places to eat were busy with take out and tables every night we were there. They could use a couple more places to eat on that end of the island.
Overall, we will absolutely go again. We cooked half the time and picked up take out the other half. Weather was great, and it was very quiet. Best moment for me was being up at 6am watching the sun come up on the beach. I walked 25 feet out from the house and dropped a chair.
