I was originally thinking we needed a starting safety and/or top corner in this next draft, but these young guys are playing pretty well. I will say it hasn't been against the top offenses in the past few weeks, but im slowly thinking maybe we dont need to draft early here.

Can Riley and Sanker hold down starting spots? Is Koolaid good enough to play against WR1?

thoughts?

I feel we are good at safety going into next season. I like our top 3 corners, not sure about Taylor’s future, is he a FA after season? I worry a little about depth at corner if someone goes down.

I think it’s a solid group. I would upgrade the dline to help the secondary out first before adding to it.

Build the trenches first. We desperately need a nose tackle to command double teams and get some push in the run game. Godchaux has been invisible.

Taylor is a UFA after 2025. Spotrac estimates his market value at $11M/yr for a 3 year deal.

His issue will be his ego, he doesn’t want to be paid like a nickle. Staley also calls him the “star” position on his defense so he’ll demand more in the negotiation

That said I hope we keep him even though he makes mistakes at times

Wouldn’t be upset if we got Monsoor Delane in Round 1

Don't have YTD scores.

HopE Taylor and Fortner are signed before the year.

I think Taylor will test the market this off season. They tried to get him locked up this past offseason but negotiations broke down and nothing got done. (reportedly because he to his agent are looking for Top CB money)

Fortner I like and think I'd almost keep him at center and move McCoy to guard.
