Dozens of missing children,some as young as just one year old rescued from sex traffickers

The rescue effort, named Operation Northern Lights, found 43 missing children across 14 counties with more children found in other states, the US Marshals Service announced Thursday.
Federal authorities said the youngest victims were one-year-olds and that one of the young victims had been abducted from Florida and located in Louisiana.
Nine people were arrested after the staggering operation, which law enforcement said took two weeks to conduct.
Additional charges could include human trafficking, child endangerment and custodial interference.
The sting turned up additional missing children in North Florida, but also in Tennessee, Mississippi and Louisiana.
'This was the most successful missing child operation ever conducted in Northern Florida,' Greg Leljedal, acting US Marshal for the Northern District of Florida, said.

Yikes.
I have a dark question- were these children stolen from or sold by their parents?
I only ask because I've seen an article here and there on whacked out parents selling or trading their children to feed their drug habits.
Poor kids.

When Trump was taken out of office & the people who ran Biden's administration took over, they completely opened the border & the biggest human trafficking ring in history took over. This is part of the results of that. And not one person who voted for Biden even cares. Most don't even realize that this really happened. They deny it even happened. It is truly mind boggling.

Well the main point is to clarify the use of "sex trafficking" in the Daily Mail article. It seems the majority, if not super majority, have nothing to do with sex trafficking.

I doubt anyone is going to ask me in the sentencing phase, but a story reads ARRESTED in Child sex trade ring, I'm thinking the worst.

I read an article about the operation yesterday. They said that the missing kids were everything from a relative taking off with them to kids being used for human trafficking and everything in between.
The 1 year old found in Baton Rouge was taken by her mother and her mother was on the run (it didn’t say for what).
Also, these 43 kids were only from N Florida. So there are many many more out there.

The 1 year old found in BR was with the non-custodial mother of the child. Not saying the majority of the others weren’t trafficked for sex but it appears the 1 year old was not, thankfully

As of now it doesn't seem there is any reporting that any were taken for sex trafficking. I imagine the majority referenced are teen runaways who went into sex work.
But it seems the majority are familial kidnappings, which is what you'd expect, because those dominate kidnappings, generally.

This child/human trafficking is so beyond heinous- I do wish those reporting would be more careful to keep the stories straight. Mom running off with her own birthed 1yr old isn't quite on par with some lost 5yr getting sold to Jared from Subway.

The entire reason "Trafficking" has been expanded as a concept is to do the opposite of what you want. I agree with you, though, which is why I have to always point out the dishonesty with those promoting bullshite to get reacts.
