Got to ride as a passenger on a hot lap w/ a pro driver in a new 911 GT3 RS at Barber Motorsports Park.

It was the most violent mechanical experience I've ever had, including 8 gs in an F-15.

Watched that yesterday. Jason Camissa and Haggerty have some of the very best automotive content on YouTube.

Loved seeing the Vette absolutely destroy the competition. Best performance car bang for the buck bar none.

The GTD is so heavy because of all the stuff they had to add to make it a street car.

The race version would destroy all 3 of these.

I'm looking forward to a ZR1 showing up at COTA. I'm curious to see how it handles the abuse of stacking laps, something vettes haven't traditionally been good at.

Yeah, seems GM may have fixed the brake fade issue w/ the Monobloc calipers and better cooling design. Time will tell..

How is the "street car" status different than the GT3 RS or ZR1?

This is a pretty good vid of Cleetus McFarland at COTA in a pair of ZR1s. Cleetus at COTA

Edit: I assume you were talking about running race laps which is not what's happening in the vid I linked. They're still letting the ZR1 stretch it's legs a bit.
