EU wants to fund Ukraine for next two years.

"We have to find a solution today," said EU Commission President Ursula von der Leyen. "We won't leave the European Council without a solution for the funding for Ukraine for the next two years."
The 27 leaders of the European Union are gathered in Brussels Thursday, trying to figure out a way forward on raising at least €90 billion to meet Ukraine's financial and military needs for the next two years. Central to this is an expected decision on confiscating Russian assets, but major hurdles remain - especially the fact that Belgium is dead set against it, and this is where the bulk of these assets are held.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is in Brussels too, and he's laying the guilt-trip and emotions on thick. He warned on Thursday that Europe will be seen as "weak" if it doesn't confiscate the funds.

If you have a few minutes take a look at the farmer protest going on there today. There are over 500 tractors there from all over Europe.

Didn’t they have one of those a few years ago? It must not have been effective.

The armies of the EU, if executed properly, would run through the Russians like a hot knife through butter IF and only IF they can afford it (which they can't) AND the British would be all in and not tentative.
However, if this would ever come to fruition it would be because it would mean a full rearmament of Germany and they would jump at the chance.
The pendulum will swing back from the days of Merkel and her DDR remnant soviet beliefs. Before that day comes, we need to be on very good footing with the Russians (maybe not allies) instead of being used by the Europeans as leverage with them using Russia as a golem that we have to automatically be adversarial with for the benefit of corrupt and rump nations.

They can knock themselves out. We should stop all funding to that war.

Things are always on the brink of “poppping off” in Europe but never do.

As long as we're not doing it, IDGAF.

Whatever..... just no more of my tax dollars meed to go over there.
I understand why Trump can't just end all funding and withdraw from NATO, because there's too many fake arse Rhinos that would whine. It's a political reality that Trump has to appease the Rhinos on some level to "keep the peace". Its sad but true.....
Actually, the Rhinos are OUR problem.
We the people elected them, and we the people can remove them.
