Stars: Caleb Landry Jones (Dracula), Zoë Bleu (Elisabeta/Mina), Christoph Waltz, Matilda De Angelis
Genre: Gothic romance, romantic fantasy, horror
Plot: A 15th-century prince becomes Dracula after his wife's death, cursed to wander until he finds her again in 19th-century London.
Release: Theatrical release in France on July 30, 2025; North American release scheduled for February 6, 2026.

He's a good actor, but he was in Spectre, Downsizing, and The Green Hornet just to name a few terrible movies. Hardly gold. Edited to add: Luc Besson has a better track record and this looks good.

US release is Feb 6 but it's been out in Europe since this past summer.
I watched it via torrents a few weeks ago. It doesn't really plow any new ground as it's a bit of a mash up of other Dracula stories but it's well acted and definitely worth watching.

Waltz is, of course, excellent.

I've read more than one review saying it's just a bad remake of Coppola's Dracula, only set in Paris instead of London.

What has Besson made that's actually a good movie since the 90s?

The Professional and Fifth Element are amazing obviously, and I loved Le Femme Nikita back in the day. But other than that his stuff if a pile of meh.
