Difficult because of how game changed to more offense in 2019.

I think 2019 had more total talent on the field.

I feel like the players from the 2019 game are stars in the NFL now while the 2011 players served more as role players.

2019 more top end talent I think the deeper you go 2011 starts to win out, it's close. Edge to 2019 based on QB's.

2019 Offense + 2011 Defense.

Somewhat related - I saw Cordale Flott mentioned on ESPN.com as one of a couple of young NY Giants up for big paydays in their second contracts this offseason.

And Chaisson looks to have resurrected his career these past couple years after looking like a bust in Jax.

2019 is the obvious answer but damn that 2011 team rolled through the season like a hot knife through butter. Les fudged that season up.

Tired: Lee should've started 1/9/12 (We still lose with Lee)

Wired: Mettenberger should've started the whole season

No defense in the history of college football could stop burrow, chase and Jefferson.

I agree JLee should have started. He deserved to. Jordan Jefferson did thanks to Les. We'll never know if Lee would have lost but he certainly couldn't have done worse than JJ.

We know he would've lost. He always shite his pants against great defenses.

Hell, he tried to lose the 9-6 game.

could you verify specific? Diggs, Queen, Chaisson, Stingley, Surtain, Battle all have had amazing NFL careers.

It's beating a dead horse now, but you're right. Lee looked like a deer in the headlights in that game, there should have been several interceptions and probably a pick 6.

JJ wasn't great, but he wasn't scared of Alabama (Lee was), and Saban wasn't ready for JJ that game. As the years go by, I've come to terms with the way that season played out...

Les won the first game because he had an answer to Saban's defense, and used it. It wouldn't work twice, but that didn't matter at the time.

11 had better defensive talent overall, though it was closer than the production would suggest, 19 more offensive talent.
