Every year I go to an industry conference and we spend 1.5 hrs on employment law.

Without fail, every year he goes over illegals and what you have to do as a company and the severe punishments for violating the law.
Was that all just bullshite? I’m seeing all these raids with illegals running into the woods or lookouts at job sites. Why is the company not severely punished? We would never knowingly hire illegals for one because we didn’t want the penalty.
It’s like everything in this country is a facade.

We are now being exposed to the corruption of the Feds and many state and local governments. We would not be seeing this if Lush Harris had won and the corruption would be getting worse.
That RFK dude was questioning the FBI's role in investigating the Billions of our tax dollars disappearing from Ukraine.

The point of the lecture was to ensure YOU are now liable if an illegal is at your site. If the company is charged they will point to your attendance and say, well we told him.
Working international I had these stupid friggin on line seminars to do each year and sign off I understood. Just ridiculous and the consulting company who sells them to big corporations must make a mint. Here was an actual question:
"hello sally, you sure look nice today, could you bend over your desk for a better view?
Would that be considered a compliment or construed as sexual harassment?
I had to do them for the aforementioned, violation of price fixing (robinson patman), and others.

Inconclusive. She bend over, and give a good enough view to earn a compliment?? Men can be complicated like that. We are visual people, and need lots of info to pull that "compliment" trigger.

Slight thread jack ... but, seeing all the people driving around in late model SUVs, sedans, trucks in the middle of the day, i often wondered what these people's jobs are.
Many are obviously committing welfare, Medicaid, Medicare fraud, ID theft, VA disability, SSDI, or some type of scam employment to include hiring illegals for their lawn care businesses.
The amount of money identified in the USAID, Somali fraud, etc... is mind numbing not to include COVID relief programs, BLM, etc...
I often wonder if I'm the only sucker actually working a legit 9-5 job.
