anyone use this climbing system? Its like the bottom half of a climbing stand, using a tether, saddle, and belay system to climb and rappel. Looks fast.

I just ordered the system and it's a 4-6 week lead time.

TIA

I can't really see the pro's to them. It looks like you'd still be pretty tied to straight limbless trees. At that point you might as well use a climber. I thought us duck guys were gadget and gear whores but we don't hold a light to saddle guys

Mine was just shipped this wk. Excited to put it to use. I love the comfort of my Summit but hate the weight of it trying to get deep on public land. Had a couple sticks kick out on me when using my saddle and never could regain my confidence in them.

1. It goes around limbs easily
2. Its 3.5lbs
3. its less gear than everything aside from a climber
4. A climber is hard to carry around

I hunt private land but I'm honestly tired of hanging, maintaining, and moving ladder stands. Only a few people hunt with me and they can hunt food plots...I want to hunt trails and sign and be able to move around....to maybe multiple trees if need be.

I use a lone wolf hand climber top. Have for 4-5 seasons. I’m glad people are coming around to the idea and coming up with better options. It really is the fastest way to climb a tree, especially with 30ft of rope and a madrock safeguard. It was a game changer for me. The only real downside side is parts of the Midwest I hung are low and limby trees. Sticks or ground hunting are a must at that point.

It is really intriguing. I don't own a saddle but I have some sticks and lock on, and a few Summit climbers. I've thought about just using my sticks and the foot part of the climber to hunt as an oversized platform.

I took a deep dive into some hunting forums and in theory this would work....you could just use the bottom of a climber...but you couldnt get around the sides of it for 360 shooting as it would kick out.
