I find it really convenient for Ole Miss... They have no problem demonizing Layne Kiffin and didn't want him anywhere around his players, but they're going to allow the staff that he just took to be around those same players.??? do you really think that that staff isn't gonna be in their ear talking about come join us at LSU? These frickers are just weird..... no no let me try that again. These frickers are entitled assholes. Geaux tigahs

LSU is fricking right now.

The DL in a couple years is going to be 2011 part 2.

The portal opens in a bit.

Lane is signed and sealed. Let OM have their playoffs.

We good.

They put themselves in this position by leveraging Kiffin to try to make him stay.

It gives Weis a chance to show Lacy and others pics of our facilities compared to their high school level and recruit them over. I’ll take letting ole miss get a undeserved playoff win and we take their players we want

I'll bet that every assistant returning to Oxford is doing so with a signed contract to coach L.S.U.

I’m fine with making sure Tulane doesn’t get a playoff win. Don’t need that in my life.

It's an awkward situation but probably the right thing to do (to allow them to coach the bowl). They should have professional integrity though and refrain from recruiting OM players until after their work at OM is completed.

Quick google search would do you well before creating a post with the spelling of the HC. Lane Kiffin is not hard to spell either.

Speaking of professional integrity, why can’t Lane coach his team again?

This just proves how wrong MANY are about Lane Kiffin. He is doing the right thing and being the better man as we should say. Get emotions out of the way and just do the right thing. The selection committee made it easy on Ole Miss in round one.

Their decision with Laine was about hurt feelings. Letting these coaches temporarily return proves it. They could have offered Lain a contract with major penalties if he were caught speaking to players about LSU.

Kirby was going to compete for Alabama’s recruits and coaches at Georgia. Lane wasn’t going to at FAU which proves Saban was worried about that post-season first and foremost.

Great PR move by LSU. There’s more upside than downside with this action. Plus, some of those coaches might be able to poach their talent in a subtle way.

Are they under contract w/LSU or somehow legally bound to be a part of the staff next year? If so, then whatever. If not and this is some hand shake thing and LSU is taking their word that they'll be back...then no way.

I find it quite hilarious. A silly thing to do in my opinion if I were Ole Miss. I wouldn't want this happening the other way around.

I would think most coaches still have kids in Oxford schools and homes in Oxford. They need to get those on the market and physically start the moving process.

Hopefully there have been some buy out negotiations that reduce exposure to our coaches and LSU.

Remember on the show Cheers when the French guy would take showers with Woody’s girlfriend and Woody would let hm? The guy kept saying I saw Kelly naked. We all know he was after her. That’s what LSU is doing to Ole Miss, stealing their players while they are letting LSU do it because they are so dumb.
