Made a post about this back during the summer maybe and couldn't find it. Basically my sister dog sitted a dog in Jan and then again in Feb both times returning the dog after 2/3 weeks of keeping the dog. Then around mid March another call came from the mother of the owner of the dog and said they'd need to permanently re home the dog, did she want him. She sat on it for a week, the mother calls back and says do you want the dog cause if not they were most likely going to place the dog at a shelter where he could be possibly adopted etc. So, she takes the dog in permanently in early April. Around July out of nowhere the woman wants her dog back. They were rejected as my sister, her husband and son were attached and spent alot of money bringing the dog back to normal health at the vet and got him chipped etc. He had several issues in the beginning that needed attention. Then it went silent for 6 months until today. A sheriff deputy showed up at her door with the lady wanting her dog. My sister showed proof of ownership with the chip card and doctor bills etc. She also explained that the dog was given to her and haven't heard from this crazy woman(she got issues) who cant even keep her own kids cause she has problems to boot, in 6 months. So they go talk to her and she leaves. My sister told the deputy to tell her if she showed up again and came onto her property she would have her arrested. My sister told this woman "take me to court" you wont win.

We don't deserve dogs. The dog is a sweet boy and a smart one.

Opinions? Does this woman have any ground to stand on? Her excuse is she is "back on her feet" bs. Thanks in advance.

frick that bitch.
when she got him he had infections in both eyes, his ribs on one side was hurting him most likely from being kicked the vet said, he had a sore on his chest and he had a terrible flee infestation. He also was mal nourished as he is an adult Shepard and only weighed 40lbs. His breed for a male at 2 yrs old is 55 to 80lbs. I saw him and he was really skinny. He had other mental/emotional issues also that have subsided since he is in a stable house hold now for 8 months along with another dog and they are best pals.

If your sister has to give the dog up, I would find out how much it costs to board a dog and send them a bill for boarding the dog all this time.

Have the sheriff cut the dog in half. Now here's the trick, the woman that cries don't "Don't hurt the dog," is the true owner.

Possession is 9/10ths of the law and you have obviously possessed the dog long enough that I don't think any judge will award her the dog.

I didnt think so. Its the fact that this crazy woman is disturbing everyone's peace because she is bat shite. Pisses me off.

This is besides the point but her excuse is she is claiming she is back on her feet. If it weren't for the lady's mother bailing her out of several thousands of dollars to help her, she wouldn't be back on her feet.

Dogs are cool and all, but what an incredibly dumb thing to get cops involved with.

Whichever deputy got involved with that is a retard. That's clearly a civil issue.

The first post you said the story was about you sitting and keeping the dog. Now it’s your sister. Why did you change the story?

You almost had me feeling sorry for you. Somehow you can figure out how many accounts someone has here but you can’t figure out what threads you started?

Had a relative of my ole lady let us sit a dog back in Jan for 3 weeks then again at end of Feb for 3 weeks again. Both times we gave dog back. Then a discussion was had about he homing the dog so we took him in April.

So your ole lady is your sister? And the crazy lady is your relative?

I have seen a few issues lately where deputies get involved in situations they shouldn't. Much as I loathe going through the court process, it sometimes is necessary to figure out who is right.
