Trump’s alleged “concern” for so-called “narco-terrorism” is hypocritical. Trump pardoned a former president of Honduras who was serving a long prison term for bringing an enormous amount of cocaine into the U.S. Somehow, that doesn’t qualify as “narco-terrorism.” Trump’s South America policy is getting more ridiculous by the day.

As ‘Moon of Alabama’ reports, “Yesterday he announced a pardon for the former president of Honduras, Juan Orlando Hernández, who is serving a 45-year sentence for partnering with drug traffickers who had allegedly shipped 400 tons of cocaine to the United States. He also endorsed a right-wing candidate Nasry ‘Tito’ Asfura for Sunday’s election in Honduras. Asfura belongs to the same party as Hernández.”

It transpires that Venezuela is not a major supplier of drugs to the U.S., despite all the hoopla from Trump. As Finian Cunningham reports, “Venezuela’s role in narcotics trafficking to the United States is not significant compared with other Latin American countries, according to the UN’s Office on Drugs and Crime. Colombia and Peru are more important as cocaine sources. The U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration has denoted Mexico as the biggest source of illicit fentanyl, which is responsible for most American overdose deaths.

No one believes Trump’s war on Venezuela is due to narco terrorism.

Its probably a combination of a few reasons:

1. It’s no longer a mono-polar world and Trump is implementing the Monroe Doctrine to keep China and Russia out of the Americas (North and South). This includes forcing Venezuela to use the dollar in trade with China and Russia. Brazil is already a problem in terms of BRICS. The bankers are telling Trump to not allow the anti-dollar contagion to spread to Venezuela.

2. Trump wants to get back at Maduro for his role in stealing the 2020 election.

3. Drugs.

Inner RickDaddy...

The USA has not attacked any targets, materiel or personnel, on Venezuelan soil, territorial waters, or flagged vessels.

FACT

We are not at war with Venezuela unless they declared it on us and we missed it. So how can it be an illegal war when it isn't a war at all?

It is a non-international armed conflict.

c'mon man
define international?

I'll do it for you: between nations.

This is not between nations as neither have declared war and no targets in Venezuela has been struck.

Look up the UN's definition if you would like.

Was and is about preventing China invading Taiwan and preventing WWIII.

Trump’s 1st term, Biden, and Trump 2 has never acknowledged Maduro as president because he didn’t win and it wasn’t even closeZ

Trump admin understood that the only way China defeats America in a war is if we are already pre-occupied with 3-4 other wars.

That’s why Maduro alongside Brazil was about to invade Guyanna.

That invasion would have signaled to China that it was go time.
