Dear Facebooks, we wanted cheaper labor, only for it to fail pretty quicklike. Truck drivers are killing people, (albeit accidentally), and others just don't have a care about the customer.

Wife ordered door dash. $113 for breakfast for 7, we have a basktball game to get to and thought door dash would help us, time wise.

Car pulls up and drops about 40% of the order on doorstep.

Call breakfast place and she cannot understand us. Finally manager gets on phone, sighs heavy and asks her to come get correct order if we want it on time.

I go, get it and they don't care at all. They actually hate you for walking in the door.....to have them get paid.

I guess the rub is this, right here:

THe people they replaced only gave about 75% of a damn, but it was the 75% that we knew. We were familiar with it.....but my question is, where are they now? The previous min-wage worker left the workforce and is now showing up at the suboxone clinic since the abilify/prozac/kratom combo didn't work.

"But David", you say, "buprenorphine/naloxone has a ceiling effect...they can only get 'so' high and the naloxone cancels out the opiate and they can live their day. "

Okay, I say. But many of the bupe docs, are foreign born and they get paid by our tax dollars to get folks on bupe and keep them on it via medicaid.

Many of the them have a triple clinic for pain, and weight loss as well. They can certainly benefit from the injuries on the job, get them addicted, then they can 'help' them with their weight when they become injury-related-sedentary. Still get paid to march in the streets.

What happens when our 'visitors' get tired of the American dream that involves free shite, and only more free shite if they choose not to work? It is the same thing as the previous non-shite-givers that they just replaced.

This will be a (already is) a drug dependent nation that needs ceiling-effect drugs just to keep people out of the streets to.....now get this....

prevent violence.

Based on one anecdote, you can’t say the world is fricked. You just seem to think that most or all immigrants are bad news…

When you call one place out of all of them that can be called and this is the situation then it’s not just happenstance but the reality of issues. I regularly go in booth large and small cities and see the exact same thing, over sampling of ethic that are obvious not American cities as their English primary language. 20 my arse came in last 4 years, maybe 40-50 as anywhere you travel the ratios of people that are foreign is 4-5 out of 10 in regular life

An old adage still rings true.

“If you want something done right, do it yourself”

DoorDash simply creates more potential problems in the process chain.

If you’re not going to wake up early enough to make your own breakfast, then wake up early enough to go get it, verify that it is correct, and then bring it home.

You’re blaming a terrible process chain and focusing on the politically convenient parts of the flawed process to blame.

This goes for you not buying g cotton shirts and sewing them yourself.

Are you sure about what you are saying?

Here’s another anecdote from my uber ride to the airport at 5am this morning:

Uber driver from Mexico has been living in the states for 40 years, and only rarely visits Mexico. Would not shut up about Mexico for the first 20 minutes of the ride. I was being polite for the first part of the convo but then he started getting political and claiming all the news is wrong about Mexico being a bad place. I just nodded and gave short “uh huhs” back while knocking out some work related stuff on my phone. Guess he got the hint the conversation had gone on for too long and stopped pestering me with his opinions.

My main point is, if he doesn’t think Mexico is so bad, then not go back and live there. Much more affordable to retire there. He never badmouthed the US directly, but I get the sense he wasn’t planning to leave any time soon. No clue if he was legal or not. Seemed like a nice enough person, like most of the people I’ve encountered either living in Mexico or from there. This newer generation doesn’t seem as appreciative for the opportunities here as the previous ones.

"We" did not want cheap labor. They did not bring them here for cheap labor.
They brought them here to wreck the country.

They want the entire world to be third world. Nothing but the elite and the poor; nothing in between. No middle-class. No freedom. No liberty. No prosperity. No opportunity.

Because he can come here and work for a U.S. dollar, which is equal to 18 pesos. They are here because the exchange rate of the dollar to pesos is extremely valuable. They're making much more money here.

Went to get my baby girl a passport at the post office here in Houston and it was us and 9 immigrant families that couldn’t speak English. But their kids will get a passport and grow up to turn us into Honduras

are you prepared to pay higher prices for items,

so American-born English speaking whites and Blacks will want to work those gig economy jobs? not only is it low paying but also bad job security, will you ask for more regulation to protect those workers?
