100% accurate. Our ability to create pressure was rarely the problem.

Helps when the D isnt on the fld so much as well . Takes alot of energy and effort to pressure the qb. Our guys would get a stop or a 3&out only to be back on the fld again 2 mins later

We only put pressure on when we blitzed. These teams do it with four guys, they play in the opponents back field against the run, and collapse the pocket in passing situations.

We weren't physical enough last year. New strength coach needs to fix it.

Contain, but also somehow get better at Spy position as running qb’s really hurt us.

We need to be able to get pressure with 4 and not always have to blitz to get pressure.

It's easier to get pressure on the QB when the defense is rested, and/or you have a lead, forcing your opponent to become one dimensional. Unfortunately, we rarely had 9+ point leads this season. This scenario is what leads to your more juicy defensive stats, such as interceptions and sacks. Under the circumstances of our current season, our defense has actually performed exceptionally well. This is one of the main reasons that Kiffin worked so vehemently to retain Baker. He knows what Baker will bring to his team. Championships.

And we were winning that one at half.

If Pyburn had finished the sacks he almost secured he'd have about 25 on the year. I've never seen a guy consistently almost sack the QB as him.

we had dogs coming for years now on OL and DL. It's time to get results from young dogs. Watch how many true freshman QBs come into college and light it up. It's not all of them, but those who find the diamonds in the rough are good at spotting a talent that fits their team identity. We will need a QB that fits LK, DL and OL that fit the style that we have to run. All these recruits now that they are being paid better fit our style.
