What is his buyout? ESPN trying to bury that story?

They are in the championship game of the best conference in football. Yeah, they need some perspective.

The ugly truth about Bama is they don’t have all that much money so they are going to have to deal. They’re living purely off brand right now.

If they really think they're going to repeat the results of Nick Saban, they are out of their fricking mind. That'll never happen again, most likely

If only Saban didn’t feel the need to go to the NFL. Then their expectations wouldn’t be so high.

I live in Alabama. This is accurate. Kalen DeBoer is not a horrible coach, but I don’t think he’s the best fit for that fanbase. Personally I would have never taken the job. It took forever for Alabama fans to find their next Bear Bryant. They might go through 4-5 coaches before they find their next Bryant/Saban. I will give them credit in the fact that they don’t hesitate firing coaches until they get the right guy. I actually thought Gene Stallings was a pretty solid coach and most of the Bama fans hated him too because they didn’t bury teams enough. Funny thing is Bear Bryant often won a bunch of tightly contested games.

I live in Alabama and work with plenty of alums. This is not an accurate statement.

Bama has a lot of money. You are clueless if you think otherwise. Alabama has a lot more industry than Louisiana, and they have been putting more players in the NFL a lot longer than LSU has.

The states GDP is equal to that of Louisiana and they split the state with Auburn.

But this is more about the current state of play with NIL advantages with respect to billionaire boosters and state government advantages working in LSU’s favor right now
