Illinois St upsets undefeated NDSU as 23.5-point underdog

Illinois State QB threw 5 INTs and NDSU had a 14-point 4th quarter lead.
Bison were -350 to win the national championship and actually received votes in the AP Top 25 last week.

NDSU has a secondary that wouldn’t start at any Louisiana high school with an enrollment of more than 300 students

Apparently Illinois St did everything they could to not pull the shocker...5 turnovers and...
And yet they did because they actually dominated....422 yards to NDSU's 179, 42 minutes of possession to NDSU's 18.
Upset when on paper they totally dominated.

The ISU quarterback was 35 for 52 for 245 yards, 3 touchdowns, and 5 interceptions for a 4.8 average.
That's one way to play quarterback

Both North Dakota schools lost today and S Dakota state is currently 14 down against Montana.
Montana State #2 looks like they’ll squeak out a win against Yale.

Not much chalk in these playoffs this year.

That’s Mount Union type dominance.

Lehigh(5) and Mercer(6) also lost. Stephen F Austin (7) is in a dogfight.
A bunch of those top 8 seeds coming off a bye are having a difficult day.

South Dakota is still in it. Beat Mercer 47-0 today.

Also big nuts by the ISU coach going for 2 with a minute left to avoid OT. Play to win, baby.

Hopefully the Griz can finally end their drought

OU beat ISU first game of season makes that win worth more to committee I’d think.
Was crazy how this game unfolded. Bison first play was a 78 yard pass TD. Then they returned a punt for TD to go up 14-0.

Trying to remember the biggest upset of this magnitude within the FCS, and the only one I can remember is a 15-seed UMass team winning the championship in 1998.

lol the FCS blue bloods all moved up, it’s an asterisk “dynasty”.

That’s another shocker. SD winning isn’t, but I expected Mercer to put up a fight.
