LINK A few teams have multiple ranked Recruiters in the top 25 we just have Coach Frank Wilson and he is ranked #1

The problem is you can only have 10 on field coaches and beyond those coaches, they can't recruit off site.

He’s not staying without an on field assistant role. If Lane brings Kevin Smith, there won’t be one available, you can only have 10.
Even if he accepted an analyst-type role, he wouldn’t be able to recruit away from LSU if he wasn’t one of the 10 on field assistants.
Hate it, and it sucks losing him. But at least Kevin Smith is a beast and increases the chances Lane brings Kewan Lacy to BR.

“FBS teams remain limited to up to 11 staff members and FCS teams remain limited to 13 staff members who may participate in off-campus recruiting activities. National service academies are permitted an additional four off-campus recruiters. Both subdivisions must include the head coach as an off-campus recruiter, and only staff members who regularly engage in on-campus coaching activities with student-athletes can be counted as off-campus recruiters.”

Analyst can coach on field now. They just can’t recruit on the road. I believe they can only communicate with recruits when they are on campus.

This is all I've been saying. Besides money Frank does build personable relationships with recruits and their families.

That’s what I don’t get about the people saying “bye Frank”. He’s an elite recruiter that will be instantly picked up by one of our rivals and will make life annoying recruiting against him.
Find a way to keep him by any means. Having Frank, Raymond and Elijah Robinson recruiting for us would be a cheat code.

I’m not sure about Lane’s last 2 stops, but at Tenn & USC he stacked his assistants with recruiters. Monte & Lane handled the offense and defense.
