Look at Syracuse defense ranking. That should tell you how good he is.

He was a really good DL coach. He didn’t get promoted to DC at Syracuse because of purely his recruiting.
He is one of the best in the business at DL. People forget how good the defense for A&M were under Fisher. Their offense was just a disaster.

This is not even exaggerating, LSU hit an absolute grandslam with Robinson. He’s an elite Defensive line coach. He is what Coach O was during first stint at USC.

Btw, if he didn’t leave A&M when he did, Gabriel Reliford and Dominick McKinley likely don’t end up at LSU.

He got promoted to DC st the 'cluse because he's childhood friends with Fran "snake oil salesman " Brown. And then old Fran ended up regretting it.
He has a reputation as a great recruiter and DL coach at A&M and other places. He'll have everything he needs at LSU, unlike at that flag football program he just left. I think he'll do a great job here.
