Is Houston better? Haven is a stud. Also, Allen is a baller also at WR

Houston putting up ridiculous numbers against much better competition. I don’t know enough about both to claim one is better than the other, but I love Houston’s game. Ideal Lane Kiffin QB. Will be a leader of the class and clearly wants to be a Tiger. You can’t get much better than that. Yeah Haven is 6’5 and has all the measurables over Houston, but most of the Louisiana HS football guys I trust (many on here) claim Houston is the better player. Take their rankings out of it, I trust Houston’s numbers against his competition.

Houston has also shot up about 100 overall spots in latest rankings. I think he’s in the Top 100 now.

Maybe he’s not as good as Houston. To make that statement is just stupid

He's eating up LCA's defense.

I'm very impressed.

Bad mechanics. He’s just bigger and stronger than the little guys in 2A football.

I've watched them both now. Haven is overall the better prospect, hands down. But both are very good.

Is houston finished growing? I just find it hard to believe a 5’10 QB will have success at the college or NFL level.

Not sure how you can say this especially “hands down”. Very similar stats although Houston’s is better and Houston plays significantly better competition. I’ve watched both as well.

Kyler Murray, Doug Flutie and Drew Brees beg to differ.

I realize these are exceptions, but it has been done if you are very smart, can process the game, have a strong arm, very athletic and make great decisions.

So the kids on LCA’s defense got smaller in the month between beating Houston’s team and losing to Haven’s team?

If you get a chance to see Haven play in person, do it. Seen him play a few times and maybe you’ll come to a similar conclusion. He’s huge and runs pretty well. I guess a comp could be Cam Newton in terms of height and style.

Passing wise, big question mark to me. His tunnel screens, slants, anything that needs to be delivered quickly all float with very little velocity. I’ve often wondered if his receivers can’t handle his velocity.

Buddy, I can only tell you what I have seen. I have watched them both play vs LCA. Pop accounted for 2 TD, 1 rushing and 1 passing vs LCA. Haven accounted for 7 TD vs LCA, 6 passing and 1 rushing. Same competition. This season, Haven also has a higher completion percentage, more YPA, More TDs (even before the 6 tonight), and fewer Ints. Add to that the physical differences, Houston is 6'5", 215, and Houston is 6' even 205.

None of that tells you who will be better in college, but as a prospect based on what I personally have seen in the two games vs the same opponent, I stand by what I said.

Now you may have seen both more than I have, and I am nowhere close to being a scout.

Not sure if Houston's are better this year, except for yards. There is no denying that the competition component is tougher for Pop. I wish we could get both guys to LSU.
