Finebaum needs to quit bashing Lane and inviting people like his last guest to join him in doing so. He is such a Bama cult leader that it’s ridiculous. Instead of emasculating Lane they need to remember that Lane did not “quit” on his team, rather he wanted to coach them throughout the playoffs to give them the best chance to win. He even got Verge and LSU to agree to this at a time when it probably would have hurt us in recruiting and even the transfer portal if they kept winning. How many coaches and rival schools would have done this? All these talking heads should be praising him instead of constantly dragging him over hot coals. He may not be perfect in some ways, but not too many coaches would have offered this kind of olive branch, but he cared enough for those kids to finish the deal for them. If you are going to create a narrative, you should include the whole story!!! GEAUX TIGERS!

Paul has always hated LSU so naturally he will hate Lane now. He jacks off to Alabama football so seeing a guy as talented as Lane with the athletes LSU can provide that Ole Miss can’t. Now LSU is a threat to his beloved Bama so he will shite on anything LSU.

I don’t care about Finebaum or what he has to say. Just defending our coach who will lead us to our next Natty. He has flaws just like all of us do, but “quitting” on the team he led to the best season in Ole Piss history is not one of them. He wanted to finish what he and his players had started. I find that honorable, but the OM AD said no because he thought Lane’s real motive was to poach players. He’s going to do that in January anyway. I honestly believe he wanted to do this for his former players.I didn’t ask anyone to agree with me. After the haul we got in the early signing period today, I am glad OM denied him the chance. The Rebs probably wouldn’t have won it with him, but him on their sideline was their best chance. Hate it for their players because they deserved better after the season they had, but a few of them may get the chance to do it wearing purple and gold soon instead of baby blue!
