Vail, CO… Epic pass vs lift ticket?

Hi all, I’m going to Vail Jan 18-25, staying at Hyatt Residences at Cascade village. I’ve been skiing before, but it’s been a long time.
Can someone explain lift ticket vs Epic pass? On their website I’m so confused as to what I should buy. We plan to ski 4 or 5 days during our trip. We already get ski equipment through the Hyatt, one of my party will need adult ski lessons.
Thanks!
PS - we also looked at Marriott Mountainside in Park City after seeing a bunch of recommendations on here, but they are completely booked in Jan/Feb

didn't they stop selling epic passes yesterday? But for 4-5 days an epic day pass is usually the best value.

Yep.
OP asking this question last week would have saved a ton of money. Sorry

Window price at Vail is over $300, bring you wallet. They might cut you some slack for a multi day over a week or so, but do not expect much grace.

The sale of the ~$1000 Epic Pass for the season ended. The Epic Day pass sale ended 12-4 which is what you would have needed. I paid $463 for 4-day Epic Day Pass for each of my adult age kids.
Now it looks like they still have tickets 30% off until midnight, but 4 days of tickets are $1156.

Depending age and fitness level, skiing 5 out of 7 days could be challenging IMO. I guess it depends on the number of runs you get in each day.
