Too many choices...I know nothing. Has a muzzle brake on it, so I assume I can just take that off and put one on. 16". Looking at pics on PSA's site, sizes are all over the place for what others have used. Browsing on the PSA site, they all say "ships to your door", so I guess no FFL needed.

I am going to search other threads about trusts, I forgot what I read and must not have come away with a clear thought on what I will do on that.

It would be my first suppressor...any reason to get multiple at a time? I have another gun I want to thread as well.

There are so many great cans being made right now.

I have a Specters Cat Ti WB on my night hunting AR. I bought it for the weight savings and it’s amazingly quiet. Also low back pressure. I didn’t realize how great that is until I experienced it.

If it’s one you plan on shooting a lot of rounds through look at the inconel or the alley cat.

I don’t have one but Otter Creek is suppose to be really good and much cheaper but I don’t have experience with it.

But bunches of others out there are great cans.

My WB is hub and I have it direct thread on my guns.

Another vote for CAT WB, just generally.

I have the parts to finish a lower next year as a project with son, sons-in-law and grandsons. I may do it as a pistol with a 11.5" BCM upper. Probably go with a CAT on the front. After that, a 14.5" is likely in the works.

Maybe the pistol build will give it time to see how the stampless era is going to work with SBRs.

On an related note, how easy are trusts these days? If I get into SBRs and cans in 2026 and 2027, I'm definitely going to need a trust.

Single shot trust from silencershop is the way to go. It makes the process of applying easier and then anyone you want to add to the trust after the stamp is approved may be do so.

The trusts are like $25 and it’s easier to just have a trust for every nfa item so that when you go to add more you don’t have to have every person on the trust you are adding an nfa item on apply and do fingerprints and passport photos etc.

As far as suppressors yeah depends what your budget is.

$1000-1200 as said the Cat KK or WB are about as good as it gets. I like inconnel for semiauto ars but for most people y’all aren’t running a rate of fire that even remotely hurts titnatium so go titanium.

$600ish otter creek polonium.

They released an alleged contract overrun for their Black Friday - an beefed up inconel WB that’s a few ounces heavier can be had for $849:

Thanks for the suggestions. I need to figure out budget, but below 1k for sure just because the gun only cost 500. 800 with optics I guess!

SilencerCo Omega 300 would work good. They're a little heavier than some cans but they have good sound and less than $600. Ive got a couple on rifles that they're dedicated too

You have a muzzle brake on a 5.56? Why? An M4 should have an A2 flash suppressor pin and welded to a 14.5” barrel making it 16”. Is that not what you have? My FN has a14.7 with a PW FS making it 16” but it’s not removable.

You are correct, A2 "flash hider". Still, I see lots of pics where others have added suppressor, so I assume it's doable.

Anything 1/2x28 direct thread will go on there, like an AB A10. Get a pipe wrench and a cresent wrench and make sure the flash hider will come off first, but it should. Ditch the crush washer thats behind it, screw the can on, go pew pew stuff instead of PEW PEWing stuff.

Or if you wanna be in the cool kids club you can get an Allen engineering AEM5, otter creek OTB mount, a can of green spray paint and run around cos playing black hawk down

It is. I’m not a suppressor guy but a buddy of mine has one that attaches over the FS.
