Have to ask two questions if this is about oil, drugs, regime change, or pursuit of an indicted criminal:

1. Why did Biden allow Chevron to resume operations in 2022 just as the flood of TdA hit the border?

2. Why did Trump allow them to resume in July 2025 after pulling their license right after inauguration?

To me that eliminates 'after their oil' as a driving factor. Neither President's decision makes sense however.

So it is all of these: drugs, regime change, and pursuit of an indicted criminal.

But there's another, more complicated, factor: Oil and Russia/Ukraine (and India for selling Russian oil). It's a three way trade with oil to fund the war.

I also think mexican cartel members sought sanctuary there (CJNG and Gulf especially, Sinaloa will hold up in their mountains) just in case Trump did start drone striking them personally.

But there's a reason they are allowing the oil to flow during all this at the same time only hitting unflagged vessels in international waters (there's a very good legal reason for that too).

If we artillery strike a building with wounded enemy known to be inside (not marked as aid/hospital) when we DO NOT control that ground it is NOT illegal when the goal was to take the building 'out of service'.

These unflagged terrorist organization boats in international waters are on uncontrolled ground so the survivors clinging to the boat for a 2nd strike are irrelevant when the goal was to sink the boat.
