I travel four interstates to go visit my daughter... filled with trucks, makes me nervous as all get out.

California is going to cause another disaster on an interstate soon and those arrogant fricks will be proud of themselves for going against the MAGA administration.

I saw a WAYMO driverless truck in Texas the other day. it was just cruising perfectly in line with traffic.

As a former truck driver, I fear the idiots on four wheels far worse.

I got hit with the one part of a truck you never should see…..the top of the trailer.

Should be scared of both.

He came off the highway, on the off ramp. Too busy arguing with his girl friend and paying attention to what he was driving. It’s a constant long climb up that ramp. Misjudged his speed, turned right to merge into traffic. There were only two cars at the light. Mine and a black man. He was to my right. Light turned, he left and I started seconds after he did……nothing at the light to the left and no one in the merge lane. I looked to the left one time, then took my attention to the light about a 1/4 mile up the road. Suddenly a flash of red caught my attention to the right. I focused ahead and saw the cab of the truck….then saw the upper outline of the trailer. The upper edge was slowly leaning left. The Black saw everything, he stopped.

I looked right thinking I need a spot to run to, this idiot has lost control….I went to the grass median. Traffic was bumper to bumper on the left, I remembered it had rained the night before. Had to not lose control and hit oncoming head on. Stay in the grass.if I had stayed on the road I would have under the trailer. I thought I may have escaped and then……whose a wave of grass and dirt covered my Car as the cab hit the median, then bam as the trailer now on it’s hit hit me. I sat there for a few seconds. Then got out to check on the driver. Three impact points on the top of the trailer. Firefighter took me to the trailer…”You didn’t hit the wall doing 200, it hit You!” Passenger side of my car demolished.


The whole rig was laying on the driver’s side. Engine stalled. I noticed blueish liquid leaking, transmission fluid. Then stupidity took over. Had a knucklehead run over shouting “get him out! It’s going to blow!” I yelled back “Diesel you idiot, no flames and everything stalled. Get back in your car!” He vanished. Driver got up and asked “How do I get out?” “Take your time. No rush. Climb on to the dog house, then you have to push the passenger door straight up. If you can’t do it, I climb up and help.” Kid slid down and landed in the transmission fluid. Lost his balance,…I grabbed the front of his shirt….”Let’s not break your neck after surviving this.” Then the fun started…

Lost my brakes …. No skid marks at the corner

Load shifted …. No, you are responsible for what’s inside.

Asked the Cops….Where’s DOT? If you bug the hell out us when we run on the road, where the hell are they when something goes wrong?

I lucked out. Attorney had driven trucks before Law School. I had driven after leaving college, then went back.

In the end, all legal and medical paid, new car and 200,000 cash. Not bad for one nights work.

Driver carried a passport everywhere he went. Never figured that one out. He finally admitted he was late to take his girlfriend out and was on the phone arguing with her…..when he decided to ruin my evening.
