Is it just me, or has quality dropped off a little this season??

We need more cowbell (or Dwight).

I agree. The episodes dont have as much substance as they used to... I have all 4 seasons and I watch them consistently and I'm starting to get bored with the new ones.

It's not just you. The coworkers and I were saying the same thing the other day. The last two episodes have been pretty good but nothing so far is as good as any episode from the previous seasons. IMO,FWIW

It's not just you and it's not just a little. The show is WAY too plot-based now.

It has dropped off... they need some new blood and need to break up Halpert and Beesly.

I'd rank the seasons from best to worst:

2
3
1
4
5

The basketball episode saves season 1.

i'd say:

2
1
3
4
5

I watched seasons 1-3 when I had the flu. Season 3 was a lot better than I remembered it. Jersey is right, too plot based. It was funny when they were just hanging around the office.

I think that the Office has been pretty money since it's return from the writer's strike. Thought it was dragging a little before then.

Yeah they're pretty close. The post-superbowl episode was tight a few weeks ago.

Last night's episode was vintage Office. I actually had to turn it off twice as I was so uncomfortable with Michael quizzing Holly's boyfriend and Pam having to go forward with the presentation.

You do realize that they couldn't maintain the regular everyday humor of the ins and outs of the office for more than one or two seasons?

I think the show has digressed, mostly because the Jim and Pam angle is so bad and makes Pam a completely worthless character. They'll never be able to match the greatness of season 2 because there's only so much day in, day out humor you can pick from. At some point, plot has to take over, and other than last night, I thought this season has been much better than last, and on par with 3.

I hated Andy at first but he's money now. More Andy and Creed.

*creed talking to andy* "Have I ever steered you wrong Jim?"

"What?"

andy is off the chain.

seasons 2 and the and three were the best to me. 4 is close behind. hard to count 1 since it was just a few episodes.

I thought it was good, but usually first seasons of shows have that awkward feel...

Basketball episode is the shite, tho

i'd still stick to my opinion that the funniest episode of the office is probably worse than the least funny episode of seinfeld or arrested development.
