DJ Durkin come on down

Imagine how good Auburn's defense could have been with a half decent offense moving the ball and possessing time.

Per Josh Pate, Auburn was at the finish line with Jon Sumrall, but told him that he needed to retain DJ Durkin.

This rubbed Sumrall the wrong way. Even if Sumrall wanted to retain Durkin, there could be a conflict / power struggle because not only did Durkin want the HC job, it would be as if the AD was Durkin’s boss and not Sumrall if Sumrall couldn’t make that decision himself to retain Durkin. So Sumrall flipped to Florida.

Now knowing all of that, imagine LSU swooping in and taking DJ Durkin anyway. Not only did they not get to keep Durkin, they had to settle on their #2 HC option because of their stupidity

Golesh is better than Sumrall anyways
