Who is going to be QB 1 next season?

Who are we going to grab out of the portal? Maybe MVB will workout under a great offensive mind/play caller. Thoughts?

We will have a couple new QBs next year and it’s not decided yet who.

I’d prefer a guy with 2 years of eligibility left, but that may not be feasible. If we’re rocking with a 1 year guy, though, ‘26 with Chambliss would be perfect. But even if we do somehow get him, Lane realized this year that you can’t rely on just 1 guy. I think we bring in 2 really good guys, and probably keep MVB if he’s willing to stay for a reasonable amount of money while knowing he’s probably gonna be 3rd on the depth chart.
But that’s one of the advantages of Lane being here now. He’ll have a month to watch tape and bowl practices to see MVB up close. He might think there’s enough there to work with that he could develop into at least a #2. Which would best case scenario, because it’s gonna be hard to identify and grab 3 guys from the portal who all will be looking to start somewhere.

Whoever it is they’ll have to be able to run for a few yards when needed. Not like our previous senior quarterback.

It’ll be Chambliss if he’s granted his additional year of eligibility. If not then I’d guess one of Leavitt, JKS, or maybe Sellers.

looks like leavitt is gone from ASU...up to the highest bidder...who knows we may snag him.

The Ole Miss QB Chambliss is applying for 1 more year of eligibility. I would definitely take him.
