I hate to let this kind of leadership get away.
I hope he wants to stay and they allow him to stay.

That doesn’t surprise me with all of the extra stuff and politics that goes with coaching in college.

He is either going back to Ruston or going to Buffalo(where he was going last year until LSU pulled at his heart strings)

I think he would crush it as an NFL coach . And he is more of a legend and loved in Buffalo than LSU surprisingly. You still see a shite ton of Williams jersey at bills games

While I love seeing former greats being coaches at LSU, just because someone was really great playing doesn't always translate to coaching. Keep that in mind. Motivating, absolutely, but without looking at stats, was he the best for the job? I am genuinely asking.

This site loves to keep every coach except the head coach. Most of the time a lot of changes need to happen when the new boss comes in.

so are you suggesting that he did not do a good job, or was not the right fit? not a gotcha, just trying to clarify your stance

Neither really. Good fit, sure absolutely. One of the best to do it and from the school. Did a good job, sure... Was the line a complaint this year, no. Was the line a major strength on D, no. So not saying he did bad, just saying as soon as a coach is hired/fired everyone comes out and says "YOU HAVE TO KEEP". It's fantastic that he's here, but if there is someone else better, then we find the best.

Yeah he's gone. Hates the college grind.

He's a Southern country boy that likes to hunt and fish. I'd guess he'd prefer to stay in the South. (Not that you can't do those things up there, but it's better down here)

Yeah, RHS could use Kyle back. They're still an awesome team, but their defense has noticeably declined this year.

Mike Collins talked to him yesterday and he didn’t say a word about hating the grind. He said he was hoping to come back to LSU next year. Who is your source?
