With the season over and all the excitement about lane being here , Thot it would be a solid time to ask what tiger amidst a year of frustration and chaos do yall think had a sneaky strong year? For me it’s pj woodland. Kid played on an island all year and had to cover some elite players. There were some games he gave up plays like bama but the kid kept competing and was scrappy as hell.
His speed , ability to play the boundary and slot plus sure tackling were all underrated assets to the backend. I think he’ll continue improving under Raymond and be part of one of the best cb duos in the country between him and dj pickett .

I’m not sure I’d say “under rated” but Zavion Thomas seemed to come up bigger than any of the other receivers this year
He didn’t have the best year and we can put some of that on the QB play, drops also don’t help, but of the WR core he seemed to be the most dependable

Chadwick is set to finish #2 in LSU history for single season yards per punt. So.. there’s that.

Z. Thomas.
In a year with a God awful offense approach, the guy still managed to make some tough plays..in a variety of different roles. With a functional offensive staff he becomes LSU’s version of KC Conception. Instead, he was just a solid playmaker who was grossly underused

It's hard to say underrated for a Thorpe award finalist, but Delaney had top 10 season all-time for a DB in purple and gold

he won't be remembered like our other great DBs are but he definitely left his mark at DBU
defense might be one of the best we had since the les miles day but they will all be forgotten
Delane, Perkins, the Weeks bros, Cooley, Haulcy, Guillory, Gooden, Pickett, Payton, Butler, Pyburn, Woodland, Spears, and Breaux all absolutely balled out this season
were they perfect? no but they closed out the year really strong despite our offense being absolutely inept

I wonder where he is in total punt yardage. Considering the rate LSU punted and his average, has to be at or near the top.

Currently at #6 for single-season punt yards. 50 yards (a little above his average per punt) will put him at #5. If he has 3 more punts it should put him at #4.
