Baker's Weak Spot - Running QBs. Kiffin will cure this ill.

Kiffin is a guru when it comes to using a QB who can run well. I feel like his offensive expertise will go a long way in helping Baker address this weak spot in his defensive repertoire.

Everybody's weak spot is the running QB. Look at what Chambliss did to UGA. Kirby didn't forget how to coach defense that night. It's really hard to stop if those guys are playing well. Kiffin will certainly have some tips on what can help and improve but there is no magic defense or magic X and O adjustment.

Or said a different way, when Kiffin gets going with a running QB like he normally bring in, Baker will get plenty of practice defending it.

It’s not just Baker. A mobile QB puts an extra running back on the field.
Unless you dedicate a spy there will always be an issue faced. When you dedicate a spy, you give up either a body in coverage or a body for rushing.
It’s math 11 v 11.

The only answer is blazing fast defensive ends.
We had run stopping DEs this season. Our pash rusher is out for the season.

LSU in the past has done well with running QBs. Chavis and Aranda had some good results running fox and hound strategy where we would blitz on one end and flush the QB onto containment on the other side. Johnny Football and Hurts had career lows vs LSU.

How bout the 2019 Ole Miss game? The game is much different now than in Chavis's day as well.
