Help me understand this….

You had weeks to at LEAST prepare for a few backup options and you panic hire a guy bc you didn’t want him bailing on you too..?

Did you not get the hint that Kiffin was very likely gone?

I'd like to believe this was his plan all along.

He's replicating Notre Dame and praying for the best.

Seems like a lot of miscalculation.

It seems that everyone but the OM AD knew Lane was leaving

Originally I thought he was going to the NFL but am glad I was wrong

I thought the whole point of not letting Lane coach was so that they could conduct some kind of search

And then they immediately hire in house? So stupid. May as well have just let Lane finish the season

I for 1 am glad it turned out this way tho lol

I mean he looked like he was pouting on the sideline at the game on Friday. Apparently that didn’t help his cause to much.

I feel like Lane Kiffin and the AD had a good relationship. LK knew who was coming with him and gave a good recommendation for his successor.

I don't believe it was all vicious. I think Lane truly wants the program to have success.

With the exception of doubling all of the coaches salaries with what he was paying Kiffin. That was smart and will likely keep the offensive coaches.

OM is like the ugly girl who didn’t get a homecoming date. They proved that they’re a bunch of cheapskates, and no coach wanted to go there.

I think it was more ab continuity and holding things together to look good for the committee.

The only thing KC cares ab in the whole ordeal was keeping that home playoff game.. would be a massive boom to the local economy.

Would be an absolute shame if the committee dings them for losing their HC/OC/playcaller etc.

If the committee bumps them, he should be fired

I really don’t know if this has been the plan or they really just hoped emotions would catch up with Lane and once they secured their playoff spot after the egg bowl, he would stick with them. He’d eventually leave but not this season

Just the OC, Co-OC, WR coach?

9 coaches were removed from the OM website today.
I wouldn't say "most" left, but a lot did.
