These are the same assholes that will call you racist at the drop of a dime for criticism of the Portal, and guy's selling out their commitment. Absolutely no difference what Coach's are capable of doing today. Pay the buyout and move along.

Typical national response. If it were a coach leaving for USC or Notre Dame, you think there would be such a sanctimonious condemnation?
What was Kiffin supposed to do? He informed Ole Miss in time for them to install Golding immediately. He offered to coach through the playoffs. Understandably, Ole Miss declined.

College athletics is professional sports now. The players are paid and try to leverage their positions for more money and playing time with the everpresent threat of leaving for a better deal to go with it. frick every pundit that says this guy quit on his team. We know better.

Is it because we jumped Florida to get him?
Seriously. Florida fired Napier, and everyone "knew" they were going after Kiffin, and that was okay. Florida was going to be serious about football, and it was time for Lane to take charge of a top tier program. His accomplishments at Ole Miss would be respected, with the caveat of "just wait until you see what he can do with the Gators"...
And then A&M happened, and we fired Kelly and Woodward in a weekend. And suddenly the "No, Lane shouldn't go to LSU" chatter started.

It was the same thing with Kelly . How could he leave ND for LSU . Now it’s how could Kiffin leave ole miss for LSU . It’s a broken record . Who gives a frick about these assholes . I’ll embrace the hate . Us against the world is ok by me .

Didn’t read but I don’t see that as an anti-lsu slant, just a dig at the ridiculousness of college football right now.
I’m still all for fixing the sport as best we can. The calendar with early transfer portal being in the middle of the season is a disaster which was the reason why a decision needed to be made early. If players want to abandon their team they can do it and it’s on them if they want to join another team in the fall and miss spring semester/practice. At least they’d be thinking twice and a lot less likely to jump to 5 different schools.
