Geaux Tigers!!! We get who we want and we win with multiple coaches unlike other programs out east that need the greatest coach ever in order to become relevant for only 17 years out of 150+. Big thank u to governor Landry for getting rid of Kelly and Scotty and cleaning up the mess. Use the money for the most important thing in the entire world which is having an elite football program that will produce championships. That’s all we need in life.

A lot of big money boosters live in Texas and are footing the bill.

Being elite in football can provide a lot of benefits. Look at Tuscaloosa the last 15 years.

Money has not resulted in success universally. Jimbo, BK and Sark are examples of lots of money not being enough. Alabama has been far more relevant than LSU over the last 150 years. Two of our last three coaches were vetted by Ole Miss before we hired them. The other was largely considered a failure here.

Louisiana is poor. Doesn't mean it doesn't have wealthy people. We just have a massive bottom rung.

Louisiana as a state is poor.
The boosters who keep the program running are not. Don't confuse the two. LSU doesn't use tax money to run sports.

***Repeat: DOES NOT TAKE MONEY FROM THE STATE TO RUN ITS SPORTS PROGRAMS.

I’m not trolling at all I’m speaking facts to ppl who think Louisiana and LSU can’t do this or can’t do that when it comes to being able to pay a large buyout to a failure coach and provide a great contract to Nick Saban Jr. Fine hes not Nick but I think Lane is Urban Meyer 2.0 at least. U get the point. LSU football is by far the greatest job in the country.
