I keep seeing “ Lane has to bring an entire new o line “ takes . Theirs o line has a. Bunch of young talent already. They were simply not being coached well. Move curne back to his natural spot of guard, let Solomon Thomas get healthy , keep developing Echols and suddenly your at a good spot at guard. Tyree Adams was Rock solid at LT. RT is the biggest question mark Weston Davis was horrendous majority of the year but was still a former 5 star maybe a diff coaching staff develops the kid. Ory Williams also showed serious promise before he went down

You also have a super talented tackle in Martinez coming in along with the portal. The cup isn’t bare on the OL we just held Oklahoma to 0 sacks.

One part of coaching that we’ve missed out on is development. Not a strength of Davis

with the proper coaching Ory should be a monster... today, right now.

With the proper coaching in this offseason, assuming he puts in time in the voluntary workouts, he will be a monster next year.

Yes, there is lots of talent there. It is a black hole of development. By that I mean regression.

The improvement graph for o-line play was flat, at best.

We know all the mitigating factors but c’mon - just the experience of actually playing 12 games should have shown greater growth at least on the individual level, regardless of coaching, scheme, locker room, unit chemistry, injuries. Not so sure LSU has the meathead killers needed…

I would say the o-line the year before wasn’t very good either. Good in pass pro but sucked at half their game (could not fire off the ball in the run game). Missing Tommy Moffit hurt big time.
