Navy played a tougher schedule in the AAC and beat the two preseason favorites USF and Memphis while Tulane had a cake AAC schedule and lost to middling UTSA by 20 points.

Maybe don't schedule VMI next year?

Tulane also played Ole Miss, Northwestern, and Duke.

Right. Like Charlotte is any better than VMI. Try harder.

Annapolis is the most backwards town I've ever been to.

I genuinely hope it falls into the ocean and they have to move the naval academy.

People don’t realize in this day and age the disadvantage academies have.

No NIL
No portal out
No portal in

Who you recruit - and with much higher academic standards - is who you got for 4 years. They are going up against teams paying players to play football. Other teams can rebuild every off season.

I think in a toss up the service academies should get the nod.

I’m pretty sure your butt-hurt opinion isn’t a concern to anyone in Annapolis.

Navy absolutely embarrassed itself against Tulane last November.

Charlotte is a conference game for Tulane and they have no control over them being on the schedule. VMI however was a non conference for Navy and they made the choice to play them.

Last year is irrelevant, but since you brought it up…Navy Beat SEC power OU in their Bowl Game last year. OU crushed Tulane. By the way, Didn’t Tulane lose their Bowl game 33-8? Asking for a friend.

Paul Skenes disagrees.

But you’re right. Add in tough academic standards and trouble recruiting linemen that can pass the physical fitness tests tha the academies require, and it’s impressive that they can even compete.

Their resumes are very similar. Could go either way to me.

North Texas played the 126th-ranked Strength of Schedule this year. I'd argue that you should see both Tulane and Navy ranked in next week's CFP Rankings, while North Texas may remain unranked.

So you are saying they can actually coach up players, build chemistry and create a team rather than paid mercenaries?

Prediction: You are going to have a very achy bottom in 8 days when Tulane hires your Head Coach away.

Tulane played 3 P4 teams OOC, whose combined record is 22-11.
Tulane won 2 of the 3 games.
