I just realized Monte Kiffin replaced Bo Rein as head coach at NC State when he left for LSU in 1979.

Monte was also on the ill fated 1995 Saints staff as DC when Jim Mora got run. I think the defense was decent, but the offense wasn’t worth diddly poo.

Except that it was not 1995, it was 1996 and Jim Mora was not fired, he resigned.
