I still believe Kiffin is going to fight to coach in the playoffs

Will be some risky business if LSU says we will take your word on it and wait it out.

Wouldn’t be risky, it would be brain dead.

He makes it official Sunday at the latest or you move on.

Ironically the best chance for Ole Miss to retain him is to do nothing and letting him ride it out

If that’s the case, tell him to kick rocks and grab Dillingham. I’d take Kiffin in a heartbeat, but I’m not cool with having to wait and miss out on the big bulk of transfers, and punting the 2026 season away. Kiffin knows they won’t win a title. He’s done what he can at Ole Miss. What’s better, come to LSU and have a chance at multiple championship teams, or going all out with Ole Miss for 2025? Ole Miss can’t beat Ohio St, Indiana, Notre Dame, or Georgia.

If Drink is number 2.......I'll wait

Maybe someone else would take Drink in the meantime

LSU won’t take his word. They will make him sign a contract.

LSU isn’t going to let that happen. If he’s coming to LSU he’ll begin work here prior to playoffs.
LSU will move on.

I always took Joey Freshwater as more of a lover than a fighter

He’s not. That’s been a name the internet created.

He said today in that press conference he wants to coach all the way through. Said he hasn’t seen it any other way.

That's what I am saying. He has never said otherwise.

A lot of people have just been assuming otherwise

I wasn't sure about the Egg Bowl. Ole Miss looked for a way to keep him from doing so but didn't find one that wouldn't have gotten ugly publicly. Friday's meeting was mostly about this topic.

I'm 99% sure he's announcing for LSU Saturday. I've been saying this in some form since Ole Miss beat LSU. I'm leaving myself 1% because Lane is a very emotional decision maker and beating MSU and getting in the playoff may set something off but I doubt it.

If he chooses to leave, his next school is going to want him and any staff coming with on campus Sunday.

I dunno. His press conference today looked like he was ready to gtfo after the egg bowl

Why am I getting downvoted did we not watch the same presser?

In the old days, it would just be a bowl game a coach would miss

Now we’ve made it into something else creating a other set of circumstances
