...I just couldn't do it, I just can't leave the Rebel/BlackBear/Landshark Famulee....I love the Grove and tornados and cow shite on my shoes and frat boy haircuts...I am an Oxford boy for life....tearjerk speech, and endear himself to the Old Piss snutes, and get his team insanely psyched for a post season run, all while giving LSU the finger and destroying our hopes at a decent early signing?
That speech felt off today....too "I am having a really tough time y'all" for me....I pray I am wrong, but something activated my spidey sense about the whole thing.

nah. he is gone. he got emotional talking about his dad who died last july. guy was a great coach.

correct and he knows it. the planets do not align like this often.
nobody expected CBK to fail like he did after a retard and rougarou won nattys. lane knows. now is the time. i never expected him to stay at ole piss past 3 or 4 years. he gave them 6. above and beyond.

I've felt all along we've had Lane. This is arguably the best job in America, and it's probably his only shot at it. He WOULD BE A FOOL to turn it down.
Also, go watch the Week's kid's answer to the reporter on whether he knew anything about the new coach. I promise you it'll make you feel better if you can read young kid's behavior/body language AT ALL.
