I watched ESPN the other day and Windhorst was talking about the amount of calf injuries this year from mainly stars in the league, but a league-wide problem. He said according to the “experts” it’s because of the pace of play. It does seem like the lower body injuries are up this year but I haven’t really looked into it.

Not pace, they literally dont practice enough. Well let me rephrase, the pace is only half the problem. You cant ask the human body to ramp up to 0.0001% of the top performance level in ~14 days. Without shite happening.

I agree with the not enough practice. I’ve thought this about the NFL and college injuries as well. They reduced practices and offseason workouts.

Culture and Oschner is a horrible mix for the Pels.

Has anyone heard anything about Poole? There was supposed to be an update in 7 days and I haven’t seen anything.

Almost all of the stuff they dialed back to prevent injuries are now causing the injuries

Pace of play was higher in the 70’s and 80’s

Pace of play this year is tied for 29th all time. It’s lack of practice time and team trainers not being allowed to work with players in the offseason unless they’re rehabbing an injury

Yeah that what I thought but Windhorst said that the experts were saying that. I’m sure I just paraphrased because I have no reason to listen to ESPN with our record.
