We are trying to fill essential positions with practice squad and over the hill players. Anyone who thought this season was going to be much better than it has been was fooling themselves.

And it’s why this roster should have been stripped down, no players re-signed or free agents signed. Get out of cap hell this year. And load up on draft picks.

Loomis just pushed this shite show into future years to try and have a competitive roster.

Umm. You mean no one?

You actually think Saints fans were expecting playoffs?

Garbage thread that is calling out not a single fan.

Dumbass.

You watch too much NBA. You can’t evaluate players with UDFAs everywhere. Shough is down to two NFL quality throwing options at this point. Chase Young and Juwan Johnson are having productive years if that is who are you targeting.

I know. It’s why I wouldnt have drafted Shough to begin with. Roster was to horrible to try and develop a rookie qb.

Young was the only guy maybe worth signing, but I’d have let them all go. Young, JJ, don’t sign Cooks or Reid. This year was going to be bad regardless, but at least we’d be out of cap hell completely afterward. Could have shaved 40-50 million off of the cap for future years. We are dead last in carrying dead cap money over. Not a good combination on a team with no talent or top 100 players.

And we get more comp picks for losing Adebo, Young, and JJ. Only sign vets to one year prove it deals.

What team has fricked up the cap as bad as Loomis and had the added bonus of being the worst drafting team the last 5 years?

Name some. We are it, it’s unprecedented times we are in..

Actually it’s more than 5 years. He’s hasn’t drafted a probowl/allpro type player since 2017

You asked for examples of a subjective opinion.

I am asking for examples of teams clearly not signing any free agents or current players to new deals. I suspect you won’t find any. Watch more football.

It’s not surprising that we’re bad. What’s disheartening is the lack of any kind of intelligent play calling or scheming to make the most of what we do have. The coaching seems very suspect.

You guys want a miracle worker not a coach.

When watching the game yesterday you saw it though right? the Falcons have a really nice roster, the Saints have a bunch of dudes running around that should not be in the NFL.

I have and everything I said in the offseason has come true. Loomis has fricked this team. I’m not sure you’ve watched football. No difference in a one win team or a three win team. They both dogshite. But at least my way they’d have some light at the end of the tunnel in future years.

Im curious if you guys think Loomis stands up in the draft room during the Saints pick and says "ive taken all of your suggestions under advisement, but decided to select Cesar Ruiz instead!"

I understand the rationale, but if Sanker and Riley came out and played like complete shite next to some practice squad players, would you feel confident that they were good picks?

I think they are.. because ive seen them play next to NFL players like Reid, etc and while the unit as a whole hasn't been great, they have shown flashes of potential
