UAB football player, accused of stabbing 2 teammates, remains in custody….
And yes, before one of the resident NPC drones raises the question, the inherent violence in our larger culture is most decidedly a political issue. As Jason Whitlock has explained, “diss” culture kills.
I further have no doubt that the “me” instead of “we” mentality that now permeates college football in this new NIL/Transfer Portal era has undermined the sense of unity in many colleges football locker-rooms. As an Auburn grad, I remember thinking that the day that Nick Saban retired from the University of Alabama would be a great day for fans of Auburn football.
Yet now that we have seen that day come and go, I genuinely have a sense of wistfulness and regret because it was the end of a era in college football. Nick Saban saw where the sport was headed and knew it would be an anathema to the team values and sense of shared sacrifice that made Saban coached teams so successful.

Journalism at CBS News.
A football player at the University of Alabama was arrested after allegedly stabbing two teammates Saturday morning, hours before the team's game against the University of South Florida, university officials said.

It’s kulcha.
Again.
This is the inevitable result of attempting to place a man child — who grew up with no conflict resolution skills, no emotional regulation skills, and no ability to communicate beyond expressing a desire to fulfill his basic physical needs and sexual appetites — into a structured environment.

Every detail is about the guy arrested....his legal representation, his family comment.
Nothing about the guys stabbed. They are not who is important right now according to CBS News.

Its the 15 second mindset. The world exists only in the past 15 seconds and next 15 seconds. Zero long term thinking

Hadn’t heard that theory but I believe it to be true.
I watch First 48 quite often. Love the show. Anywho, I am particularly drawn to the interviews with black killers who killed complete strangers to see their reactions that they’re popped with felony murder. They receive that news like someone was saying hi. It’s like it doesn’t register upstairs with the young’ish kids.
As for white killers, usually theirs are someone they know like a cousin or new boyfriend of the ex that got killed. They’re usually expressionless and rarely even say much of anything.
