Some like to say Kiffin comes here in a heartbeat because Ole Miss only seats 68,000 on a record night. Well, by their logic, we should be able to get Lanning .

Kiffin wouldn't be leaving Ole Miss if their biggest donor founded Nike either.

Oregon has Nike money. Phil Knight is willing to spend a fortune to win a national title before he dies. There is a reason Oregon magically started to get top recruiting classes all of a sudden. They have enough to even outbid UT which is saying something.

Lanning has a contract with Oregon and a separate deal directly with Phil Knight. After Mario Cristobal left them for Miami, Phil decided that wasn’t ever going to happen to him again.
