LSU fans love romanticizing Burrow and Chase, but when you bring up the 2019 LSU defense it's crickets.
LSU only beat Auburn 23-20, not very GOATy if you ask me.
Minnesota beat Auburn by 7 and scored 31 on Auburn.
But the alleged GOAT LSU only scored 23 and won by 3.


Stupid people ignore that 2019 LSU defense was garbage.
Their D yielded over 22 points a game.
LSU D gave up 37 or more 4 times that year.
LSU only beat Texas by 7, Auburn by 3, Alabama by 4.
Frigging Vanderbilt scored 38 on 2019 LSU.
2019 LSU was far from dominant because of their garbage D.

Meanwhile 2025 Ohio State is yielding 7 points a game.
The most points allowed is 16.
They probably have the greatest defense in college football history.
And their offense averages over 37 a game.
And their offense has played conservative because they don't need to open it up due to their dominant D.
2019 LSU would struggle to score on 2025 Ohio State.
2025 Ohio State would score at will on that horrible 2019 LSU D.

The 2019 LSU offense isn't that much better than 2025 Ohio State's offense.
But the 2025 Ohio State defense is light years better than 2019 LSU's defense.
