My only complaint is that the numbers have been made public now and the contract isn’t signed yet.

I would have offered 20M/year and 50M in NIL

Who gives a frick. Let them complain. They’ve always complained about that. And LSU has always continued to spend.

The only reason I worry about money is we are much less likely to fire(if it doesn’t work out) a coach with a massive contract which usually comes with a huge buyout. A cheaper coach on a much smaller salary and a smaller buyout is easier to get rid of. For example, Eric Morris makes 1.4 could be paid half of what Drinkwitz does.

I hate people saying this because it’s not true at all. Every ticket you buy, every price increase you incur, every $15 beer you drink in the stadium, it is your money in part.

It will be funny when they raise prices 50% and these people will be singing a different tune.

This is what it costs to have a championship college team in the current environment.

I can assure you that Ole Miss and Florida were already privy to those numbers. Sexton wouldn’t be doing his job if they weren’t.

Also, Dellenger had to have gotten those numbers from someone in the athletic department. He most assuredly got permission to release that which tells me that there is at the very minimum a very strong verbal agreement. Those numbers wouldn’t have been released without assurance is being made

If they are contending for the playoffs every season it won’t matter

If they could sell tickets at that price, they would already be doing so. The money they spend doesn’t dictate ticket prices. It’s the revenue they get from tickets and other sources that dictates how much they can spend.

Amen!!! People outraged over it need to hear that. Its not your fricking money…what does it matter

I have been having season tickets for years and will continue. I have been buying the 12 dollar beers and will continue to do so…even if they raise the prices. As a consumer, I choose to spend my money on the team I love.
