They will definitely be bringing back General Wade first opportunity they get!

One brought the FBI to campus
The other brought a natty

I dont see how the two are related

One ruined a prominent program so bad that the winningest hc in the sport couldn’t fix it and lost interest.

Short of McMahon having some deep NCAAT run that endears him to the fanbase, LSU is going to look into trying to hire Wade at the end of this season. There was a push this past offseason by some well connected people, including one that has an office in the State Capitol, to do just that. Tate and Woodward shut that push down immediately. That's part of the reason neither is still employed by LSU.
CAN LSU hire him away from NC State is a completely different discussion. But the desire to do so is there.

The FBI wasn't investigating Wade. In fact, his involvement in the DOJ's case was so irrelevant that the much-discussed wiretaps weren't even used as evidence in the criminal trials

Yup that’s exactly what I was thinking.

the FBI doesn't gaf about college sports, if they are conducting an investigation an discover some ancillary evidence that may be of interest to the NCAA, they'll share it, which is exactly how all the dirt on Scam Newton come to the surface

I would love it if we brought back Wade, but quite honestly I think he has everything he needs at NC State, and don’t see him coming back.
It’s a shame about CMM I don’t know why it’s not working, but I do like the guy. The offense just isn’t working and ball movement has been stagnant. Plus he hasn’t been able to develop the on campus talent well at all relying on transfers every year.

Meh. That’s ridiculous. As much as we dropped off in Ed’s last 2 years, we still went 5-5 and 6-6 under him. (Finished 6-7 after losing the bowl game with a WR playing QB for our 1st losing season since 1999).
The very next year, we went 9-3 in Kelly’s 1st regular season, won the West, and finished 10-4. Went 10-3 the next year and had the Heisman Trophy winner. 9-4 last year. Was 5-3 when he got fired this year. Didn’t live up to expectations after exceeding them his 1st year, but at no time was the program “lever “ruined.” That’s absurd.
“Ruined” is having the program in a place so unattractive where you can’t hire the winningest HC in the sport. And as bad as this season has gone, we’re still likely to be 7-4 36 hours from now, with probably the best offensive mind in the sport seriously considering becoming our new HC.
And with the portal and the ability to turn around program in 1 offseason, even at a perennial doormat such as Indiana, I don’t think it’s even possible to “ruin” maybe any program, much less one as prestigious as ours.
That said, I can’t see any coach bringing Orgeron back. You don’t bring a former HC back to be a position coach. Or coordinator, unless you’re as desperate as Arkansas and Pittman were. No matter if that coach left on his own on great terms or was run out of town. Not this quick. And throw in the fact that he not only won an NC, but did it with the best team in college football history? You’re just asking for unnecessary headaches and potential disaster. Juice not worth the squeeze.

bullshite! Woodward and BK did far more damage to the program. If the nerd Woodward had not meddled in both coaches, the program would be better off.

Still produced the greatest team and season ever. Worth it. Now it’s time for a new coach to get LSU rolling again.
