First time going later tonight. What should I get? Just had a T-bone last night so I'd probably go for something other than steak.

Also, should I call ahead and try for reservations or will I be ok just showing up?

thanks

The cedar plank redfish with crabmeat and sauce is great...crabmeat cheesecake is solid, as is the veal with crab. I'm a big fan of their bread pudding.

ETA: On a Wednesday you'll probably be okay just showing up...couldn't hurt to try to call though.

cedar plank is damn good. Look for a special with speckle trout in a crawfish cream sauce

but my recommendation, just because i am craving it would be veal michael. Veal with crap meat imperial sauce.

get the crawfish cakes for an app

I'd tell you to get the veal osso bucco but one they only make it on Thursday and two several "douchebags in the know" on here would tell you it is pork and you would not be smart enough to tell the difference.

So anyhoo...I'll tell you another good dish I like. The flat noodles. I get them but I like the tomato basil sauce in lieu of the vodka cream. I'm not a big fan of cooking with vodka. Why the hell would you waste it by cooking?

I just think they do the tomato basil well and it is pretty light. I'm betting away from the heavy sauces.

His pomodoro is done well and is pretty light too.

You will enjoy it. Get Ruffin to sing. It's brutal.

Stick with seafood and beef/veal, their Itallian dishs leave a little to be desired (they have the best eggs benedict for Sunday Brunch in BR)

pork chops. I get them every time. I also sub out the aparagus that comes with it for the applewood smoked bacon mashed potatoes.

I went about a week ago. The service was pretty shitty. The Crab Cheesecake was very good. The eggplant and crab appetizer came out cold, not warm, but cold. After a 30 minute wait, we got our steak and fish. Both were good, steak nothing special. Not worth the price.

I won't be going back.
