That was like 20 years ago
He went to Saban graduate school and came out a better coach

Well that was 15 years ago and he has gotten better as a coach since then. But in general, you are correct. Fans many times fans change their stance on things in order to fit their narrative. Two years ago this board was full of people saying that Ole Miss was dumb for going so portal heavy in 2024 and that they would fall of a cliff in 2025.
