I got the call today that they want to go over my homeowners. No hurricanes this year, but we had a hail storm in NorthLa. Anybody got their new rate yet? I’m with State Farm.

Very few claims, and st farm wont cover my area that has never flooded, in the worst of storms and rain.
They will give out profit bonuses probably and then beg for fed aid after the next drizzle

Farm Bureau here. Only a nominal increase. My car insurance with Farm Bureau actually went down a couple of hundred every 6 months.

There is so much retard in this post, I don't even know where to begin.

Flood insurance is FEMA, through NFIP. Has absolutely frick all to do with homeowners insurance.

SF is a mutual company, not a stock company. Show your work around federal aid for private insurance companies and profit bonuses?

I would too but the cost of defense is very high.

If you aren't shopping every 3-4 years for another carrier, you are overpaying.

I have State Farm and renewed in October. It went up but it was a very small increase only $200-300. With the increases I've seen in previous years I was pretty happy.

I was speaking and driv8ng. The point is, my area, has never, in the history of the 30 years of the subdivision, has a storm done major damage, or any flooding, etc...even during historic 100 year floods in Lafayette....to illustrate is a low claim area..
Just bought another home that ill live in part time for winter, while I slowly renovate.

So listed as primary residence, 200 sq ft...now new roof....State Farm declined because it doesnt write this area....Allstate took it for 3100 per year....not sure what increase OP saw, haven't been thru one yet, and I pay in full

As far as the bonus comment...I dont give a frick what or who they are....it was tongue in cheek on how they'll have huge profits, but cry like a bitch when they have claims......fig
