I agree and I think it’s fairly obvious. The trolling posts and publicity of it all would be all time shithead villain if he were to leave

I think he is a massive a-hole but not that big of one

He's been doing this longer than the coaching search. This isn't a troll move. He is sharing what has helped him with others and he even said on McAffee yesterday that people have reached out to him saying that they read them and it helps.

He may stay, but it will be very uncomfortable for him in Oxford unless they win the natty.

Humor me… they go into the egg bowl and lay a turd and go 10-2. The fan base says they are distracted and Kiffin is to blame.
They get bad matchups in playoffs because of it and lose 1st round.

It will be tough for him in Oxford from there on to win their trust back.

Then Texas maybe comes open next year and they have unlimited money and they come calling and it all happens again.

IMO he burned bridges and he sort of has to leave now. But he could stay.. I just think it may get nasty if he doesn’t win it all now, bc OM will blame him for his one foot out the door attitude

I see it the opposite way. I don't think he's that much of an a-hole to put all of his own fans through this if he wasn't leaving.

I thought the same, but if the report is true a LSU plane took his family to check out Baton Rouge I don't think that's just a troll. I dont think LSU has a "done deal" but there has to be some interest there. We will see.

Why would he purposely sabotage Ole Miss national titles hopes and playoff run to simply troll. Oh and he will not sign an extension lol

I was kind of in that camp, but last night I think thing took a turn from trolling to his team and his fanbase really souring....per them go check out the OM board on this site... that natives arent amsued and its starting to be more than one could come back from by saying aww shucks guys I was kidding

Lane's social media behavior has remained unchanged since he started his account. Maintaining his own status quo isn't a sign of anything. People really need to stop trying to figure out what's going to happen. Most head coaches when being courted by other programs (and who are actually considering other options) will dodge questions, give non-committal responses, and try to do everything possible not to give the appearance he's leaving or staying. Lane is doing that exact same thing. If he wasn't considering leaving, he would do what Lanning did or what Cignetti did. Lane has done neither.

Everyone will find out soon enough if he stays at Ole Miss or takes a job elsewhere, but trying to deduce what he's doing based on his public appearances and twitter activity is hilarious.
