The hip drop rule must not have been enforced this game

Did they allow women to play? I swear I see at least two figures that look like modern day dikes

I think that player was a visiting player from Yale. It was common around this time for southern coaches to bring in paid “ringers” from more established football programs from the north.

Did they paint stripes on the dog for game day?

Wikipedia says that is the coach: Albert Simmonds a graduate of Yale College

Yup. Site of the first BR campus. I've often pondered how much different the school and the city would have been had they never moved down river to, what was then, the boonies.

Looks too big to be a Whippet and too small to be a Greyhound. Probably a female Greyhound.

L for LSU. The guy wearing Y is the coach, Albetrt Simmonds, and that is his old Yale sweater from when he played at Yale.

LSU once sold these prints. Maybe they still do (?). About 10 years ago, I bought a photo of the 1908 LSU football team, framed it, and it hangs in my living room. Great art. And a fantastic conversation piece.
